Will the Equipment Perform?  Has the performance of the lifts/escalators been adequately assessed, accounting for all affecting that will affect operation?  Building functions such as car parking, restaurants, meeting, and leisure spaces are frequently ignored or inadequately measured in how they affect performance of the lifts/escalators.

Has the Lift/Escalator Contractor Met the Design?  Where you are approving the lift/escalator contractor’s design, are you sure that this meets the Employer’s requirements? Have all of the necessary design elements been integrated, e.g., code, mass, performance?

Witness Inspection.  Has the equipment been installed, set-up and commissioned correctly; is the equipment compliant to the Employer’s requirements and the required legislation and code?
